About the Artist
Welcome—my name is Iryna Gross, and I’m a self-taught artist who discovered painting while living in the beautiful Cayman Islands. What began as a new creative challenge quickly grew into a passion for capturing color, movement, and light through paint.

Before I ever touched a canvas, I spent years as a successful nail artist, competing in international nail art competitions and winning over ten awards. Eventually, I felt called to explore art on a larger scale, and oil painting became my new world—a place where I could experiment, learn, and translate my experiences into visual stories.

But my artistic roots go even deeper. Long before tropical landscapes and seascapes, I was a competitive equestrian in show jumping and dressage. Horses were the first subjects I ever drew, and the emotion I felt around them shaped my earliest sense of artistry. One of my most treasured pieces is the first horse I painted —it’s the only painting I refuse to sell, and it hangs in my home as a reminder of where my creative journey truly began.

A recent trip to Ocala, Florida reignited that connection, reminding me how much horses influenced both my life and my art. Today, I’m bringing that inspiration forward into new equine paintings that merge realism, feeling, and storytelling.

My work is inspired by nature, people, and the small moments that shape us. Each piece reflects something personal—an emotion, a memory, or a place that stayed with me. My hope is that my paintings resonate with others in the same way they resonate with me.

⭐ What I Paint Today

My current body of work includes:

  • Equine paintings filled with movement, strength, and personality

  • Tropical seascapes inspired by light, color, and the energy of island life

  • Underwater scenes, boats, wildlife, and moments from nature

  • Occasional portraits and still life pieces when emotion or curiosity leads me there

Every painting is a reflection of something personal—whether it’s a memory, a place I’ve lived, a story I’ve carried, or a moment that stayed with me.

⭐ My Artistic Philosophy

I believe art is a bridge between emotion and experience.
My goal is to create paintings that not only capture what something looks like but also what it feels like.

Whether it’s the quiet depth of a horse’s eye or the way sunlight dances across tropical water, I want my work to evoke something real and familiar.

⭐ A Journey That Keeps Growing

My art is constantly evolving—shaped by the places I’ve lived, the animals I’ve loved, and the passions that continue to return to me.

And now, as I step deeper into equine art while still honoring my tropical roots, I feel like my creative journey has come full circle.

Thank you for being here and for supporting my work.
I’m excited for everything still to come. 🐴🌴🎨
